History

The Piedmont School of Atlanta (TPSOA) is a result of a collaboration of parents seeking comprehensive educational opportunities for their children. Our goal is to provide children, who have challenges in learning, language and social problem-solving, an education that will help them succeed in life.  We want our students to know who they are, develop the skills to find their place in a community, and learn how to contribute to it.

The School is on the beautiful Oglethorpe University campus in Brookhaven.  The Victorian-style buildings and green spaces provide a peaceful environment in which to flourish. The University's motto, "Make a life. Make a living. Make a difference," is consistent with the core values of The Piedmont School of Atlanta.  The goal of the School is to circumvent obstacles presented by learning, language, and social problems and to enable children to become independent adults possessing options and making meaningful contributions to their communities.
